Alice “Peggy” M. Brockman
Alice “Peggy” M. Brockman, a longtime resident of Pettus, Texas, passed away in her home, Sunday, October 7, 2013 at 9:20 P.M., at the age of 93 years.
Peggy was born July 13, 1920, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of James Campbell and Alice Brown Campbell. On March 31, 1948; after losing her first husband in World War II, Peggy married Elmo Brockman in San Antonio, Texas.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband of over 65 years, Elmo L. Brockman of Pettus; her daughters, Pam Wachutka and husband Sean of Dumfries, Virginia, Rebecca Kaspryzk and husband David of Elgin and Cathy Brockman of Brenham; her son, Mike Brockman and wife Marsha of Cestohowa; her sister, Shirley Cook and her brother, Bill Campbell both of Pine Bluff Arkansas. Peggy is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Brockman is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Mark Brockman; her sisters, Dorothy McRae and Charlyne Round and her brother, Jimmy Campbell.
Gravesides services will be held, Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 12 Noon in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to The March of Dimes; 7400 Blanco Road, San Antonio, Texas 78216; The American Heart Association; 8415 Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas 78229 ; or to the charity of your choice.
