Born in September 1965, in Karnes City, Texas, Sarah lived a life marked by devotion to her family, deep faith, and an infectious joy that touched everyone she met.  Sarah dedicated her professional life to serving others as a Detention Officer for GEO at the Karnes County Civil Detention Center. Her commitment to her work reflected her strong sense of responsibility and compassion for those around her.  A lifelong Catholic, Sarah raised her children in the faith and found strength and solace in her spiritual beliefs throughout her life. She also embraced her extended family with open arms, including stepson Cody Simmons and his wife Stephanie, stepdaughters Casey Simmons and her husband Clint, Tracie Sanders and her husband Lyle, and Brandy Cantu and her husband Timothy. Her grandchildren—Caitlin, Bryce, Elizabeth, Jayden, Zachary, Alyssa, Lane, and Aria—brought immense pride and happiness into her life.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Wiatrek and Elizabeth Jarzombek, as well as by her late husband Andrew Morgan. Sarah also had many nieces and nephews and cousins whom she loved.  Known for her vibrant personality, Sarah brought laughter wherever she went. She had an innate ability to find joy in everyday moments—whether it was shopping for something special, planting flowers in the yard, or planning the next family vacation. Family BBQs were among her favorite gatherings—times when she could be surrounded by those she loved most.
