Evelyn L. Hartman of Karnes City, Texas was born on December 8, 1944 in San Antonio, TX to Otto Henke Sr. and Gussie Hurt Henke passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021 at the age of 76. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Alton and her son Perry and her brother Leonard Henke. She is survived by her son: Presley (Kelly) Hartman of El Dorado, Arkansas and daughter: Sandra (Russell) Chesser; six grandchildren: Scott, Brian, Amanda, Savannah, Hannah, and Reagan; three great grandchildren; sister: Katheine Zaiontz of San Antonio, TX and brother: Otto (Viola) Henke Jr. of Floresville, TX; sister-in-law: Pat Henke and other relatives.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 10:00a.m. for the Public at Eckols Chapel. Funeral services will begin promptly at 11:00a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Eckols Chapel with Rev. Walter Schievelbein of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church  officiating. Interment to follow in the Fashing Cemetery, Fashing, TX where she will be laid to rest near her son Perry. Pallbearers: Clifton Henke, Doug Henke, Joe Weigang, Robbie Busselman, Jeff Witte, David Crews, and Brian Butler.                                                .
