Angelica “Kela” Garza, Age 79 of Kenedy, Texas passed away on September 7, 2013 in Kenedy.  Kela was born on June 5, 1934 to the late Jose Garza and Rafaela Villanueva in Kenedy.  She was a loving Mother and homemaker and a faithful member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Angelita Villanueva and brother Thomas Villanueva.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Alvarez, Clara Garcia,  Irma  Garza (Tino) ;  sons Edward Garza (Terri), John Earl Garza, Randy and wife Donna Garza of Kenedy, Texas, Connie and wife Rosie of San Marcos, Texas, James Garza of Spring, Texas,  Eleazar “Shorty”  and wife Helen Garza of Karnes City, Texas; sisters Maria and husband Ascencion Carrizales of Beeville, Texas , Irene Garcia of Port Lavaca, Texas, a brother Candido Villanueva, Sr. of California and 29 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren

A Rosary will be recited Monday, September 9, 2013 at 7PM in the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Kenedy, Texas.  Interment will follow at the Loma Alta Cemetery in Kenedy. Texas.
