Maxine Fudge
Mrs. Fudge was born April 9, 1928, in Yoakum, TX, to Michael and Jewel (Wimberly) Parker. She married Welton E. Fudge in Victoria, TX, on Dec. 23, 1949, and was a retired store clerk. She was a member of Church of Christ in Kenedy, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Jewel (Wimberly) Parker; a grandson, Timothy Wayne Smith; one sister, Florence Ponton; and one brother, Leslie Parker.
Survivors include her husband, Welton E. Fudge of Mineral, TX; two daughters, Linda (David) Ivey of Pettus, TX, and Carol (James) Smith of Hondo, TX; two sons, Ronny (Shirley) Fudge of Rye, TX, and Robert (Crystal) Fudge of Kenedy, TX; five sisters, Lorena (Vastine) Mueller of LaGrange, TX, Mildred Ponton of Inez, TX, Alma Allen of Victoria, TX, Judy (Mel) Lawrence of Victoria, TX, and Barbara (Don) Buethe of Victoria, TX; two brothers, Michael (Beverly) Parker of Victoria, TX, and Randy (Ruth) Parker of North Carolina; grandchildren, Ronny Jr. & Paula Fudge, Randall Fudge, Cherry & Matthew Gierisch, Niki Fudge, Rhonda & Brandon Hong, Candace & Josh Kovar, Kathleen & Alan Kunkel, Justin & Erin Fudge, David Kent Ivey II, and Jamie & Michael Morris.
Visitation was held Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Eckols Chapel.
The funeral service was conducted there Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at 11 a.m. with Russell Briley and Don Stevens officiating. Burial followed in Hebron Cemetery near Yoakum, TX, at 4 p.m.
Pallbearers were Kent Ivey II, Ronnie Fudge Jr., Randall Fudge, Justin Fudge, Matthew Gierisch, Joshua Kovar, Alan Kunkel and Brandon Hong.
Honorary pallbearers were the great-grandsons.
