Juan Flores Salinas, of Kenedy, Texas born on November 26, 1947 in Choate,Texas to Eduvijes Salinas and Jesusa Flores Salinas passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at the age of 71. Mr. Salinas obtained his GED and Law Enforcement Certificate from Coastal Bend College in Beeville and served in the Kenedy Police Department for 20 years. He then obtained his CDL and became a truck driver and drove cross country for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jesusa Salinas; his father, Eduvijes Salinas; sisters: Yolanda Olveda and Margarita Salinas; and a brother-in-law, Sylvester Olveda. Survivors include his spouse of 35 years, Terry Salinas; children, Elma (Simon) Beltran, Jaime (Rachel) Salinas, Johnny (Candace) Salinas, Teresa Salinas, Rico (Lori) Ramirez, Mary Kay (Richard) Lopez, Victoria Salinas(Gabriel L.) Gutierrez, Andrea (Eric Lara) Salinas and John Louis (Katelyn) Salinas; 23 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters: Maria (Oscar) Danmier and Diana Salinas; sister-in-law, Ciccy Gonzales, and brother-in-law, Louis (Aimee) Garibay. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 15th, from 1:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. at Eckols Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 16th, at 3:00p.m. at Eckols Chapel with interment to follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery, Pawnee, Texas with Reception at the First Baptist Church of Pawnee. Pallbearers: Travis Escamilla, Lucas Escamilla, Clay Brown, John Danmier, Michael Gonzales, Cody Garibay, and Garrett Garibay.
