Wendy Denise Elliot

Wendy Denise Elliot passed away peacefully on February 28th with her family at her side. She was 60. She was a beloved wife, a loving mother, and cherished grandmother.  Wendy was born on July 19, 1965, in Zanesville, Ohio to Donald Black and Sandra Taylor. In 1977, she relocated with family Corpus Christi, Tx and graduated from Ray High School in 1983. She built a life defined by hard work, kindness, compassion, and devotion to those she loved. She was married to Duane Allen Elliott on December 11, 1995, in Corpus Christi, Texas.  Wendy had a fulfilling career with HEB, Beeville Angel Care, Beeville ISD EMT Instructor, and Senior Agent with Interagency Extradition Services. She was a Leader, a Volunteer and Educator where she built confidence, character and purpose. Her selflessness, strength, and determination showed how proud she was in the work she did for the community and the people she served. Her impact is evident in the lives she touched, the students she taught and mentored, and the families she comforted.  She is proceeded in death by her Father Donald Black and Stepfather Philp Taylor, her Mother in Law Irene Elliott, and Sister-in-Law Kathy Elliott.  Wendy is survived by her devoted husband, Duane Elliott of Beeville, Tx; her daughters Stefenie Puentes of Beeville Tx, Selena Edwards of Pasadena Tx, Skyler Perez and husband Mark of Corpus Christi, Tx. Her brother Bryan Black and wife Leslie Black from McAllen Tx; and stepbrothers Scott Taylor and wife Terri from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Chris Taylor and wife Denise from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Eckols Funeral Home in Kenedy, with family receiving guests at 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 6, 2026, 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Kenedy Cemetery in Kenedy, Texas.
