Laddie Louis Polasek

March 27, 1962 – November 5, 2025

Laddie Louis Polasek, 63, of Coy City, Texas, passed away on November 5, 2025. He was born on March 27, 1962, in Karnes City, Texas, to Michael (Mike) Polasek and Ruby Lee Retzloff Polasek.  Laddie loved hunting, farming, ranching, and the outdoors, and for a time shared his passion by working as a hunting guide. He was known for his humor and quick wit, honesty, loyalty, kind heart, and willingness to help others. He cherished time spent with his friends and cousins, surrounded by good company, good stories, and good food.  He had a deep love for his dogs and found joy in the open countryside of South Texas, as well as in his time and travels through Colorado and Wyoming—places where he felt close to nature and at peace. Laddie is survived by his parents, Michael (Mike) and Ruby Lee Polasek, and his sister, Deborah Anne Polasek, along with numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral services will be held at Eckols Funeral Home in Kenedy, Texas On Monday, November 10, 2025. Visitation with the family will take place from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in New Bremen Cemetery in Karnes City, Texas. A meal will be served at St. Boniface Catholic Hall in Hobson, Texas, following the burial.
