George Edwin Hunt, born on April 18, 1929 in Alice, Texas to Roy Hunt and Alma Listenbee passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the age of 88. Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Colleen Hunt and wife Joyce Hunt. Survivors include his two sons and daughter: Jeffrey A. (Dee) Hunt, Louise, TX and Dean (Loreley) Hunt, Tampa, FL and Mary (Jesse) Nixon, Karnes City, TX; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Bill (Shirley) Hunt, Stockdale, TX and other relatives. Visitation Monday, March 19, 2018 from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Eckols Chapel. Funeral services Tuesday,  March 20, 2018 at 10:00a.m. at Eckols Chapel with Rev. Trey Hill officiating. Interment to follow in Kenedy Cemetery. Reception at the Pettus Baptist Church. Pallbearers: Brady Hunt, Billy Hunt, Robin  Howell, Justin Howell, Rex Johnson, Jason Davis, Norman Salinas, and Matt Atkins.
