Richard Del Waltersdorf, Age 71, of Karnes City, TX passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Audie L. Murphy Veterans Hospital in San Antonio, TX.  Richard was born on January 19, 1953 to the late Marvin, Sr. and Dollie Smart Waltersdorf.  Richard was a retired T.D.C.J correctional officer at the Connally Unit in Kenedy, TX; proudly served his country in the US ARMY and a member of the First Baptist Karnes City.  Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin, Sr. and Dollie Smart Waltersdorf; sisters, Shirly Kay Waltersdorf, Sharon Waltersdorf, Francis Donnell, Doris Buehring; brothers, Eddie Rose Waltersdorf, Marvin Waltersdorf, Jr., Alton Waltersdorf and Lawrence Waltersdorf.  Richard is survived by his sisters, Rachel Krawietz of Karnes City, Barbara Creek of Karnes City, Elizabeth Boelter of Kenedy; best friend and cousin Cecil and Cheryl Reveile of Karnes City and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 10AM to 2PM in the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel.  Services will begin at 2PM in the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nate Ingles officiating.  Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Kenedy Cemetery in Kenedy, TX.
