Mary Elizabeth Molina Ortiz

Mary Elizabeth Molina Ortiz of Coy City, Texas gained her angel wings on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the age of 47, in her home. Mary Elizabeth was born to the late Jose(Joe) Diaz Molina and the late Maria (Mary) Inez Gonzales Molina on Thursday, May 16, 1974 in Rotan, Texas.

Mary, also known as Lisa, Libby, Elisa, Tita, Mija, Pumpkin and of course Mom, wore many hats throughout her life, one which included her caring and helping raise her cousins: Patty Segura Bell, Desiree Segura Badilla and Kyara Martinez whom she considered and loved like sisters as well as:Robert Martinez, Armando (A.J.) Segura, Justin Segura and Andy Segura whom she saw like brothers. Bu the greatest joy and apple of her eye were her children, Estrella (Sissi) and Jesus (Buddy) who she absolutely adored, along side Patty’s and Desi’s babies, Emberlee Bell, and Reyna and baby Ovi (as she called him) Badillo who always seemed to brighten her day and/or put a smile on her face. Lisa was a Karnes City High School graduate and had a degree in Business. She was a very smart, creative, crafty, caring and loving person who held many different jobs throughout her life. A woman of many talents for sure. An Entrepreneur, starting her own business alongside her mom many years ago, called “Crafty Ladies”, she specialized in seasonal and any occasion wreaths, mums, different crochet items and more.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents; Jose (Joe) Diaz Molina and Maria (Mary) Inez Gonzales Molina; her brother,  Jose Molina Jr.;  baby cousin, Robert Molina; paternal grandparents, Santos and Olegaria Diaz Molina; and maternal grandfather,  Ramon Gonzales Sr.

She is survived by her children, (daughter) Estrella Herlinda Ortiz and (Son) Jesus Jose Ortiz; maternal grandmother, Odilia G. Gonzales; multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and neighbors.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 28,2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Eckols Chapel with Rev. Jim Cummings officiating. Inurnment to follow in Nell Cemetery, Nell, TX.
