Arturo G. Olvera of Karnes City, Texas, born on October 12, 1951 in Kenedy, Texas to Sara Gamboa Olvera and Silverio Olvera Sr. passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021 in Floresville, TX at the age of 69. Mr. Olvera was a U.S. Army veteran (SP4) and is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Nathaniel Ponce) Olvera of Lubbock, TX, son, Oscar (Monica) Morin of Karnes City, TX, daughter, Victoria (James) DeDear of Karnes City, TX, son, Arturo ( Alicia ) Olvera Jr. of Bastrop, TX, 10 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren; sisters: Mary (Sonny) Mendieta, Rosa Rodriguez, Sylvia Barrajas, all of Houston, TX;brother, Joventino Olver of California; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. at Eckols Chapel. Mr. Olvera’s wishes were to be cremated.
