Ruben Torres, Sr., Age 79 of Kenedy, TX passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 in Beeville, TX.  Ruben was born on April 18, 1941 in Elsa, TX to the late Eusebio and Petra Alvarado Torres.  He was a retired landscaper, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, friend to many and a Christian.

Ruben is preceded in death by his parents, Eusebio and Petra Alvarado Torres; 2 sisters; and 5 brothers.

Ruben is survived by his loving wife Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez Salais Torres of Kenedy; daughters, Amalia Torres Segura and husband Oscar, Doreen Torres Salinas and husband Aquilino, Elizabeth Ann Torres Lira and husband Leo, Shirley Torres and husband Victor Gonzales; son, Ruben Torres, Jr all of Kenedy, TX; 17 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; and a host of family and friends.

Family Visitation will be Friday, March 26, 2021 from 5PM to 9PM in the Eckols Chapel.  Services will be celebrated Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 10AM in the Eckols Chapel with the Rev. Walter Hill, III officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Kenedy, TX.
