Cheap & my mom “Golla” were the best of friends. Whenever Cheap was on an errand to the Pawnee Mixon Grocery Store, she would “just pop in” to
our unlock screen door to see if Golita needed an item from the store. She shared her fresh delicious homemade butter with us .Cheap & her husband introduced us our first Thanksgiving dinner. I can still picture both by the door with a huge turkey w/trimmings. We were overwhelmed.with the cranberry sauce. From there on, Dad would start buying Thanksgiving food in October. Cranberry was must. What a WONDERFUL couple & our friends. Lovingly, Mary Ramirez Gongora
