Ernest “Wero Neto” Soliz, Sr., Age 84 of Kenedy, TX passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 in Karnes City, TX. Ernest was born on February 22, 1936 in Kenedy to the late Frank Soliz and Natalia S. Flores. He was a retired cotton gin operator and of the Catholic Faith.  Ernest is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Natalia S. Flores.  Ernest is survived by his daughters, Mary (Gabriel) Valdez of Three Rivers, TX, Ernestine (Ernest) Cordaway of Karnes City, TX, Dora (Felix) Castillo of Kenedy, Sylvia (Raymond) Gonzales of Karnes City, TX, Mary Alice (Fernando) Hernandez of Harker Heights, TX, Joann (Rudy) Lomas of Kenedy, TX, Cynthia Cordaway of Yorktown, TX, Priscilla Soliz of Beeville,TX; Son, Ernest (Becky) Soliz of Kenedy, TX, Rick (Diane)Perez of Falls City, TX, Chris Soliz of Kenedy, TX, Michael Cantu of Kenedy, TX, Benny Soliz of Cuero, TX; sisters, Frances Estrada of San Antonio, TX, Sylvia Almandarez of San Antonio, TX, Janie Beltran of San Antonio, TX, Gladys Bryand of Kenedy, TX, Maria Elena Herrera of Lubbock, TX, Janie Fuentes, of Kenedy, TX; brother, Frank Soliz, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Jimmy Flores of Kenedy, TX; 46 Grandchildren and 59 Great-Grandchildren.

A Holy Rosary will be recited Sunday, May 10, 2020 at 7PM in the Eckols Chapel. Funeral Services will be Monday, May 11, 2020 at 10AM in the Eckols Chapel with the Rev. Norbert Hermann officiating. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Kenedy, TX.
