Major Douglas Clay Waide, U.S.Army (Retired)

Douglas Clay Waide, U.S. Army (Retired), of Aransas Pass, Texas born on November 24, 1944 in San Diego, California passed away on October 8, 2019 at the age of 74 in Corpus Christi,Texas. Mr. Waide first  served in the U.S. Army (1962-66); then the U.S. Marines and was Retired from the U.S. Army as Major with over 20 years of military service. He is survived by his wife: Betty Sue (Donnell) Waide of Aransas Pass, Texas; son: Andy Waide of Texarkana,TX; brother: Doyle Waide, of Georgetown,TX; stepchildren: Mellani and Kenneth Jones, of Victoria,TX, Lynn and Karen Atkinson, Zavalla, TX and Barbara and Wayne Anderson, Calallen,TX; grandchildren: Kenny Craig, Tiffany, Megan, Alyssa, Steven, Cody, Amanda; great grandchildren: Coby , Chelsea and Greyson; and great great grandchildren: Karson and Libby; and other relatives. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 9:00a.m. with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00a.m. at Eckols Chapel with Rev. Aaron Corporon of Choate First Baptist Church officiating. Interment to follow in Choate Baptist Church Cemetery, Choate, Texas with U.S. Army Honors. Pallbearers: Kenneth Jones, Wayne Anderson, Kenny Jones, Coby Jones, Craig Jones, and Rich Duffy.
