Petra Cruz Rodriguez, age 65, of Karnes City, TX passed away on December 28, 2014 in San Antonio, TX.  She was born on January 27, 1949 in Karnes City, TX.  She was a retired nurse and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Pablo Rodriguez, Sr.; parents, Gumecindo, Sr. and Yrenia Sauceda; and brothers, Crispin Perez, and Felipe Cruz.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Rosales and husband Michael of Karnes City, Alice Lomedo and husband Willie of Karnes City, Anita Rodriguez of Dickinson, Pomposa Martinez and husband Robert of Kenedy, Freedom Gutierrez and husband Freddy of Karnes City; sons, Pablo Rodriguez, Jr. of Karnes City, Edward Rodriguez of Karnes City, Daniel Rodriguez of Karnes City; Sister Consuelo Aguerro of Karnes City; brothers, Eugenio Cruz of Victoria, Joe Cruz of Karnes City, Daniel Cruz of Karnes City, Rudy Cruz, Sr. of Kenedy, Pablo Cruz of Karnes City, Ricky Cruz of Karnes City, TX and Gumecindo  Cruz, Jr. of Kenedy, and Numerous Grandchildren and Great Granchildren

A Prayer Service will be held at 7PM Tue, Dec. 30, 2014 in the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be Wed. Dec. 31, 2014 at 2:30 PM in the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ramon Torres officiating. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
