Patsy D. Lange
Patsy (Pat) Lange, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2026, at her home in Leon Springs outside of San Antonio, Texas.
Pat was born in Kenedy, Texas on October 13, 1941 to the late Holden Knight and Marjorie Knight (Overby). She was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister, Shera Horne, of Bandera, Texas. Pat is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ed W. Lange, by her daughter, Shannon Saenz (Lange) of San Antonio, and by her brother, Gayle Knight of Dale, Texas.
Pat graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&I College in Kingsville, Texas (now Texas A&M, Kingsville) with a degree in Secondary Education. She taught high school math classes for several years, and went on to earn a Masters Degree in Library Science from the University of Texas.
After retirement, Pat enjoyed doing genealogy research and published several documents on her family’s history. Not only was she an avid reader and knowledgeable on many subjects, she was very athletic and full of life in her younger years, becoming an active tennis player where she made many friends. She will be profoundly missed by everyone who knew her.
In accordance with Patsy’s wishes, cremation services will be provided by Eckols Funeral Home in Kenedy, Texas. No memorial service is planned at this time.
