Sam Peter Jansky, Sr., Age 81 of Kenedy, TX passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025 in Kenedy. Sam was born on October 5, 1943 in Dewees, TX to the late Joe and Cecilia Jansky. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Chevron; a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and of the Catholic Faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Cecilia Jansky and a sister Virgie M. Jarzombek. He is survived by his wife Martha Salas of Kenedy; children, Karen Jansky of Poth, Sissy Portillo of Tye, Mary Ann Martinez of Ropesville, Margaret Salas of Irving, Sam P. Jansky, Jr. of Poth, Ignacio Salas of Kenedy, Jason Orlando Salas of Kenedy, Francisco Reyna Salas, Jr. of Kenedy; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family members. A Holy Rosary will be recited Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 7PM in the Eckols Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 10AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Deacon Guadalupe Cantu officiating. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Kenedy, TX.
