Frankie Vincent Kotzur, a former resident of Karnes City, Texas, passed away surrounded by his family, Thursday, April 11, 2013, at 12:45 P.M., in the Metropolitan Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 59 years, 11 months and 13 days. Frankie was born, April 29, 1953 in Karnes City, Texas, the son of Elias Kotzur, Sr., and Eugenia Sczepanik Kotzur.

Frankie is survived by his sisters, Betty Jean Dragon of Panna Maria, Irene McGovern and husband Terry of Kenedy, Helen Micks and husband Gerald of Alvin, Margaret Kotzur of Karnes City and Barbara Kotzur also of Karnes City; his brothers, Elias Kotzur, Jr., Johnny Kotzur and wife Janie and Archie Kotzur and wife Pat all of Kenedy. Frankie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Kotzur is preceded in death by his parents, Elias Sr., and Eugenia Kotzur 

Visitation was held, Sunday, April 14, 2013 in the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel and a rosary was recited, Sunday at 7:00 P.M., in the funeral home chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 15, 2013 at St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes City, Texas, with Rev. Stanislaw Marciniak officiating. Interment followed in the Cestohowa Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Leroy Kotzur, Jay Kotzur, Glenn Kotzur, David Kotzur, Brian Castillo and Anthony A. Salinas. Honorary pallbearers were, Cody Kotzur and Chris Alvear.
