Adelina D. “Lina” Martinez, Age 87 of Karnes City, TX passed away on July 10, 2025 surrounded by her loving family in Kenedy, TX.  Lina was born in Monteola, TX to the late Pablo and Sofia Garza De La Paz.  She married Alfredo M. Martinez who precedes her in death in Karnes City, TX; was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, a devout member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church and a St. Cornelius Catholic Church Guadalupana. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Sofia Garza De La Paz; husband, Alfredo M. Martinez; daughter, Dianne Zimmerman; son, Rudy Martinez; sisters, Paula Garcia and Terry Martinez.  She is survived by her son Augustine (Rose) Martinez, daughters, Hope (Josh) Anaya of San Antonio, Hilda Martinez of San Antonio; sister, Eva (Roy) Salais of Kenedy; cousin, Jorge (Gloria) Garza of Austin; grandchildren, Rudy Martinez, Jr., Russell Martinez,  Sebastian Martinez, Sabrina Martinez, Alex Anaya, Isabella Anaya, Jason Sullivan; Great grandsons Nicholas and Alexzander and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 at 9AM to 9:30AM with a Holy Rosary recited at 9:30AM and Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at 10AM at the St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes City, TX.  Interment will follow in the Karnes City Cemetery in Karnes City, TX.
