Santos Gonzales Rodriguez, Age 86 of Kenedy, TX passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023.  Santos was born on July 5, 1937 to the late Gregorio and Maria Elva Villarreal Gonzales.  She married Dolores V. Rodriguez on August 28, 1954 in Karnes City, TX was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dolores V. Rodriguez; parents, Gregorio and Maria Elva Villarreal Gonzales; daughters, Julia Alvarado, Isabel Salas; sisters, Olivia Carranzo, Margaret Cruz; brothers, Bernabe Gonzales and Venancio Gonzales.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Salas of Kenedy, Rachel Rodriguez of Richmond, Angie Hernandez of Sugarland; sons, Joe Luis Rodriguez of Kenedy, Guadalupe Rodriguez of Kenedy, Dolores Rodriguez, Jr. of Lubbock, Oscar Rodriguez of Richmond, George Rodriguez of Needville; sisters, Elena Rocha of Three Rivers, Elvira Chavez of Coy City; brothers, Pete Gonzales of Coy City, Carlos Gonzales of Coy City, Rosendo Gonzales of Coy City, Gregorio Gonzales, Jr. of Pawnee 26 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A Holy Rosary will be recited Monday, November 27, 2023 at 7:00 PM in the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Pohl and Deacon Guadalupe Cantu officiating.  Interment will follow in the Loma Alta Cemetery in Kenedy, TX.
