Norma Jean Noah
Norma Jean Noah, of Big Wells, TX beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2019. She was born on April 17, 1935 in Leona, Texas to John L. and Euodias Harris. After graduating from Karnes City High School in 1953, she attended the University of Corpus Christi where she met the love of her life, Don . She then moved to Kingsville, Texas to finish her degree at Texas A&I in 1957, with a BS in Elementary Education. She completed her Master’s Degree in 1960 in Education, History and Speech, also from Texas A&I. She taught two years in Port Aransas, TX before teaching at London Independent School District (south of Corpus Christi,TX) for the reaminder of her tenure of 35 years in the classroom of grades first thru eighth. She was a Sunday School Teacher at both Travis Baptist Church and Parkdale Baptist Church. She was a member of the Corpus Christi Beta Xi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. Mrs. Noah is preceded in death by her parents and brother and sister-in-law: John R. and Carol Harris. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Don Noah; her daughter: Shelly (David) Teichmann, Pampa, TX; son: Scott (Mimi) Noah, Sugar Hill, GA; grandchildren: Weston (Lisa) Teichmann, Houston,TX, Carlyn (Jacob) Tolleson, Dumas, TX, Grayson Noah, Dallas, TX, and Kate Noah, Sugar Hill,GA; 1 great grandson: Jaxon Teichmann; sister: Barbara (Franklin) Atkinson, Marshall, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11:00a.m. to 12:30p.m. at Second Baptist Church of Corpus Christi, Texas, 6701 S. Staples, Corpus Christi, TX 78413 and Funeral services beginning at 1:00p.m. with Rev. Dan Moore officiating. Graveside services will be held at 4:00p.m. at Kenedy Cemetery, Kenedy, TX. Pallbearers: Weston Teichmann, Carlyn Tolleson, Grayson Noah, Kate Noah, Jacob Tolleson, Quent Harris, Gerard Harris and Eric Wylie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the Sam and Gwen Craig Ministries, 521 Bunte Rd. Smithville, TX 78957 or the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission, 2105 S. Alameda, Corpus Christi, TX 78401.
