Kenneth Gerfers, of Kenedy, TX born on October 18, 1935 in Kendalia, Texas passed away on November 30, 2019 at the age of 84 in Kenedy, TX.   Kenneth was a retired  rancher, a member of the Brush Country Cowboy Church in George West, TX and a  loving Father, Husband, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and friend to many.  Mr. Gerfers is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Power Gerfers; daughter, Lee Ann Morton; Parents, Leroy Emmit and Zelma H. Gerfers and a brother Joe Charles Gerfers. Survivors include his children: Patti Jo (Don)Wright of Kenedy, TX; Grandchildren: Calleigh Jo Wright of Kenedy, TX, Dustin (Caylee) Wright, of Weesatche, TX, Thomas Peyton Morton of George West, TX and Kenneth Brady Morton of George West, TX; great grandchildren: Wyatt Wright, Grayson Edward Wright, Rhett Edward Wright, Skylar Morton, Lacey Morton, Mary Jane Morton, Colton Morton; sister, Sandra (Dutch) Dodd of Woodlands, TX. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 7:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00p.m. at Eckols Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 10:00a.m. at the Brush Country Cowboy Church, 3117 Hwy 281, George West, TX with interment to follow in George West Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Brush Country Cowboy Church.
