Nieves “Snow” Arenas, of Kenedy, TX born on Agust 5, 1924 in Karnes County, TX to Pablo Arenas and Candelaria Fuentes Arenas passed away March 5, 2019 at the age of 94. Mr. Arenas is preceded in death by his wife Guadalupe, in 2003f and sister, Incarnacion Arenas Salazar and brothers, Matilde Arenas and Amador Ramos Sr. Survivors include his daughters: Gloria A. (Paul) Garza, Evangelina (ray) Villafranca and Delia (Ronald Acosta) Staten; four grandchildren: Ruben Rene (Ada) Garza, Gabriel Paul (Kathy) Garza, DeAnna Lynn (Lance) Loveless, Irene Marie (John) Allender; 8 Great Grandchildren: Gunnar Mateo Loveless, Max Alejandro Loveless, Nora Hope Allender, Josefine Quin Allender, Evan James Garza, Gavin Paul Garza, Josh Hernandez, Kaitlyn Garibay; 2 great grandchildren: Jonah Garibay and Kensley Garibay; and other relatives. Visitation Friday, March 8, 2019 from 12:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00p.m. at Eckols Chapel. Funeral services Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 10:00a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church with interment in Loma Alta Cemetery. Pallbearers: Ronald Acosta, John Allender, Gilbert Arenas, Dr. Lance Loveless, Edward Villanueva, Michael Villanueva. Honorary Pallbearers: Robert Edwards, Santiago Solis, Paul Garza, Ray Villafranca, Brandon Briones, and Abel Hernandez.
